We often find ourselves working on large scale projects such as this giant inflatable for Sony. Spiderman Far From home was released on June 26, 2019 and we were commissioned by Sony to work on a custom inflatable. This inflatable was going to be the centerpiece for their first screening of the film at the Chinese Theater in Hollywood. They closed down the road and installed the 80 foot inflatable for all of Hollywood to see. Beneath the inflatable they held a meet and greet, interviews and of course, they used it for photo ops. The movie and the actors were the stars of the night but we are happy to know the massive inflatable was a huge attraction as well.
So, how was it made? In the video above you can see a step by step process taking place that showcases how we designed, printed, coated with a protective layer, cut, sewed and assembled the inflatable. Projects like this are challenging to manufacture because of their sheer scale but when everything is said and done, everyone that worked on it feels a great amount of pride and joy. Our teams work diligently to manufacture custom projects with great attention to detail. A project of this scope is takes a month or two to manufacture, depending on the size and detail.
